Sarah Miles now based in the Scottish Borders, “Smiles”, has been dog training all her life – gaining an enviable reputation across the country

Whether you are looking for basic obedience or gundog training to field trial standard, Sarah can help you.

Smiles dog training is designed to present dog owners with a dog training method that will work for them and their dog to achieve their desired goals. All dog training is based on positive reinforcement. A man/woman and their dog form a team, therefore “Smiles” not only trains the dog she also trains the owner.

Sarah returns to her Hampshire  grounds on a monthly basis to hold Workshops, training days and 121’s.

Now resident in the Stunning Scottish Borders Sarah offers a variety of training styles to suit each dog and their owner. If you’re not sure which one would be right for you please contact Sarah who will be able to advise

Sarah continues to come down to her Hampshire grounds once a month to hold Workshops, 1-2-1s and Training days.

Training Days

Working with small groups, Sarah holds training days on both live game and dummies. Utilising the stunning grounds at her disposal allows Sarah to offer tailor made days to suit the clients requirements.

Classes

For puppies through to advanced, a great way to start or perfect your gundog training in a relaxed social setting.

One-to-Ones: As Requested

Ideal for all abilities looking for tailored training. After an initial assessment, a proposed training course is recommended.

Gundog Workshops: 

These are intensive day workshops giving you and your dog the opportunity to concentrate on specific  areas of training.

Picking Up Days: Autumn – Winter.

Sarah offers clients the opportunity to gain experience with her picking up in the Scottish Borders

A residential gundog training holiday with your dog or dogs gives you the time and opportunity to concentrate and enjoy your dogs training.

It gives you the continuity over several days to learn and achieve amongst like-minded people, and to gain confidence and skills to achieve increasingly more technical retrieves suited to your dogs abilities. In addition it provides the opportunity to train on grounds to which you may not normally have access to.

Great accommodation in a glorious setting, all bedrooms are ensuite and the holiday will be fully catered for.

Heated kennels available for your dog during your stay, freezer available for those feeding raw and washing facilities for dog bedding etc.
